The Suredrive has been a best seller for us in the commercial fishing industry for the past 6 years. Our customers were constantly changing their traditional drive plates every year due to spline wear, and required a durable and reliable replacement. I immediately recommended the Suredrive because it completely stopped spline wear. I have serviced some transmissions which have been using the Suredrive for 5 years and have been excited to see that EVERYTHING still runs perfectly. Thank you again for all the assistance installing my new drive train during the salmon season. We now have 3600+ hours on the drive train and have had no problems whatsoever!!! The Suredrive system has made my boat run at its optimum best. There no longer is a resounding thump and bang of the old spring plate system and the boat runs without any vibration. As I have worked in shipyards around the coast, I often am asked for recommendations on engine installations and renovations. The one thing I recommend to anyone with the old spring plate system is to replace it with your Suredrive system to reduce downtime, vibration, and all the expense and headache of having to renew it every 2 or 3 years. I work as a port engineer for a large company on Santa Catalina Island that operates seven sight-seeing excursion and glass bottom boats that go through considerable wear and tear. The dampener plates on one boat (Detroit Diesel 3-53's with Borg Warner 71 C's) wore out in 700 hours and another boat (Detroit Diesel 4-71's with Borg Warner 72 CR's) wore in about 2500 hours. I was buying dampener plates four at a time! The Suredrive had two outstanding features that sold me. First, the Suredrive had rubber drive blocks as a replacement for the springs. Second, the spline portion of the Suredrive was designed to lock onto the teeth of the transmission. I was so impressed that I immediately purchased two Suredrives and have since bout two more.
